Barnhaven Polyanthus

HARVEST YELLOWS

Direct unadulterated descendants of Miss Jekyll's Munstead strain. Gold, ivory, lemon, buttercup, canary, mimosa and orange yellows, with a fragrance to drown in.

WINTER WHITE

The white of the winter landscape. Also bred by Miss Jekyll. Some have attractively serrated petals; some have gold centres.

CHARTREUSE

Cool conversation pieces in cream, iced with pale green or white, shading to a green centre.

DESERT SUNSET

Coral, salmon, shrimp, maize, champagne, prawn red, begonia pink, apricot and burnt orange shades.

GRAND CANYON

Copper, bronze, tile red, rust, tangerine and old gold. Glint of the sun on desert rocks.

INDIAN REDS

Scarlet, vermilion, guardsman, cherry and bright crimson reds.

DAYBREAK

Opalescent mother of pearl and dark stemmed whites, often flushed or veined with apricot or rose pink, a good contrast to the bronzed foliage. Seems to be in flower most of the year.

RAMONA

Spectacular coppered reds.

HARBOUR LIGHTS

Night on the waterfront. Startling oriental and pastel reds, smoky apricot, and vivid orange apricot, neon pinks and salmon reds.

MARINE BLUES

French, Prussian and oriental blues. Cobalt, delft, sky and navy blues. Blues of the summer seas and skies.

NEW PINKS

Delicious wild rose and sweet pea pinks. Ethereal peach and apple-blossom shades. Bright raspberry pinks. The original strain of true pink pinks that made their sensational debut in 1958.

LITTLE EGYPT

An elegant, dark-stemmed switch of vivid, compact-eyed blooms in red, orange and pyramid brick shades.

REVERIE

A ripple of butterfly and powder blues, each flower illuminated by a small, precision stamped yellow or orange star.

FLAMINGO

Bright coral and orange pinks, soft dawn and pastel pinks. Flowers have small, neat centres, sometimes etched with a thin red line.

PARIS '90

Whites and creams with a blue picotee edge and/or reverse, and blues and mauves suffused on a white ground.

MIDNIGHT

Deep blue blacks and magenta purples, some with white centres and some edged with silver wire.

GILDED GINGER
